Key Tronic Corp. has named its next CEO and a board chairman in a series of leadership changes stemming from retirements announced today, Jan. 9.
The board of directors for the Spokane Valley-based electronic manufacturing services company has named longtime executive Brett Larsen as its next president and CEO. He'll replace current CEO Craig Gates upon his retirement, which is scheduled for June 30. After retirement, Gates plans to remain on the company's board of directors.
Larsen has worked at Key Tronic since 2004 and has served as its executive vice president of administration, chief financial officer, and treasurer since 2015. He will move into the chief operating officer position until assuming the CEO role on June 30. Tony Voorhees will fill the CFO and related posts when Larsen becomes the manufacturer's top executive.
In other moves, chairman Patrick Sweeney has retired from the company's board of directors and plans to serve the company in an emeritus capacity. The company has named former Key Tronic CEO Ronald Klawitter as its new chairman and voted in a Cheryl Berenak, CEO of Minneapolis-based fiber-optic network manufacturer Clearfield Communications, as a new board member.
