Spokane-based energy management company Ecova Inc. has landed a contract to provide utility-expense and energy-supply management services to Los Angeles-based American Golf Corp., which manages 91 private and public golf courses nationwide.
Specifically, Ecova will be providing American Golf with support in monitoring, evaluating, and reducing its energy and water usage for better sustainability management, it said in a press release. American Golf is specifically interested in reducing its water usage and saving costs in that area, the release says.
“Understanding energy and water use and how to leverage data to drive savings and improve performance is an essential function for businesses,” Ecova CEO Jeff Heggedahl says in the release.
Ecova also recently launched a new software platform to help commercial and industrial businesses manage, analyze, and report energy usage data through a single program. The software, called the Ecova Energy and Sustainability Management Platform, aims to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and help businesses achieve their sustainability goals.
The platform can replace multiple programs for storing facility, accounting, cost, and resource consumption data, which can enable companies to better track their energy use and costs, Ecova contends.
Ecova, which is a subsidiary of Spokane-based Avista Corp., employs more than 700 people in its Spokane office, located at 1313 N. Atlantic. The company has been operating since 1996 and says it works with more than 700 commercial public and private-sector clients in North America.
