Spokane Club CEO Stacie Harper will leave the private social-and-athletic club at month’s end to take an executive position with Stay Alfred, the quickly growing Spokane-based vacation rental company.
Harper says she’s scheduled to start her new job as vice president of sales at Stay Alfred on April 17.
“I will be creating the sales structure for the company,” she says. “They have substantial growth plans over the next four years.”
The Spokane Club announced earlier this week that Ryan Lloyd will serve as its interim CEO while the organization conducts a national search for Harper’s permanent replacement.
Lloyd most recently worked as the club’s hospitality director, overseeing its parking and food-and-beverage operations. He has been employed there since 2007.
Harper started working as CEO of the Spokane Club in January of 2016, becoming the first woman to hold that position. Previously, she had worked for nearly 20 years in the hospitality industry, most recently as director of global sales-West Coast for Choice Hotels International following 11 years with Red Lion Hotels Corp., of Spokane.
Speaking of her tenure at the Spokane Club, Harper says, “It’s been enormously rewarding for me personally. I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know some amazing people, and I’m leaving the club in a better position than when I started.”
The Journal reported last month that Stay Alfred had secured $15 million in funding from a Seattle investor and planned to use that money to expand its presence globally and to increase its rental inventory tenfold.
