ISOutsource, a Bothell, Wash.-based information technology consulting and support company that has a Spokane office, has added consulting and configuration of Applicant Tracking Systems and Human Resources Information Systems to its menu of services.
According to a recent company press release, ATS software uses technology to automate the hiring process, enabling businesses to upload job listings and manage candidate information and communications more easily, thereby expediting the hiring process.
Meanwhile, HRIS software provides clients with a system that tracks employee paid time off and vacation calendars; timecards; benefits information; compliance and legal issues; and information pertaining to recruiting, career development, and training.
Matt Simmons, Spokane-based vice chief information officer and general manager for the Inland Northwest region, says ISOutsource started by implementing both types of software internally among its 90 employees.
“We’ve been using these systems internally for over a year now, and they’ve completely changed the pace and success in both hiring and retaining talent,” says Simmons. “Through our new Applicant Tracking System, we reduced the hiring process to days instead of weeks and expanded the involvement from the entire leadership team in the hiring process.”
“We’re always seeking high-caliber, high-talent individuals to join our team, which can be very challenging in a market directly competing with companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing,” he says. “Often by the time we got applicants to an in-person interview, they had accepted another offer. Now, when our managers find a great candidate, they can turn it around in minutes.”
Simmons says HRIS has been another revolution for ISOutsource, helping the company to streamline tracking processes.
“We were able to bring many HRIS functions inhouse while not consuming a lot of internal resources to get them done with excellence,” he says. “Our HR professionals can now focus in their sphere of expertise instead of fighting with laborious systems. It’s an exciting and profound change.”
He says these initial successes led ISOutsource to establish its new ATS and HRIS consultancy practice this month, through which it now works with clients to find the best software to meet their hiring and HR needs, and help them to implement it.
“We helped get these systems set up as part of a beta testing program with a handful of existing clients and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive,” he says. “The offering is still in its infancy, but the response has been excellent.”
Looking ahead, Simmons says the company will continue to provide traditional information technology infrastructure services, while continuing to expand its consultancy services.
“We plan to ramp up our consultancy services in the areas of technology governance, risk management, and compliance disciplines,” he says.
Founded in 1992, ISOutsource employs about 90 people across office locations in Spokane; Seattle; Bothell; Portland, Ore.; and Phoenix. The company employs four people at its Spokane office, which opened in 2016 and is located at 140 S. Arthur.
