Telecommunications equipment manufacturer Amphenol Telect Inc., based in Liberty Lake, has merged with Livermore, Calif.-based All Systems Broadband to form Amphenol Network Solutions.

The new company will be headquartered at 22425 E. Appleway in Liberty Lake, where Telect has operated for the past 36 years, according to a press release provided by Telect.

A representative of Amphenol Network Solutions couldn’t be reached for comment on the merger.

Amphenol Telect is a fiber cable manufacturing and management company. All Systems Broadband is a manufacturer of connectivity products for the voice, video, and data industries, including HDMI and fiber cables and components.

The merger is expected to strengthen the companies’ engineering, portfolio management, operations, and sales services to customers in its wireless and wired communications and data center markets, according to the release.

Though the Telect name is going away, the newly merged Amphenol Network Solutions will be based in the company’s 88,000-square-foot corporate and manufacturing facility in the Liberty Lake Business Park. The company also has manufacturing operations in Guadalajara, Mexico. 

Amphenol Network Solutions also will have product development operations based in All Systems’ Raleigh, N.C. facility.

Amphenol Telect and All Systems share similar missions and the companies previously have collaborated frequently, the companies say in the release.

All Systems was already a subsidiary of Amphenol, which acquired the smaller company in 2016.

All Systems was established in 2005 as a supplier of cable assemblies and fiber optic products for the broadband market.

The Journal reported in November that Telect had about 150 employees based at its Liberty Lake operations.

Telect, established in 1982 by husband-and-wife team Bill and Judi Williams, is no stranger to mergers, having acquired Hendry Telephone Products, a Plano, Texas-based manufacturing company in 2004. 

Telect was acquired by Wallingford, Conn.-based telecommunications equipment manufacturing giant Amphenol Corp. in 2017 to form Amphenol Telect Inc.

The Williams’ grandson, Spencer Williams, stepped into the role of general manager for the company late last year. No leadership changes were announced with the All Systems merger.

Amphenol and its affiliates have more than 70,000 employees. 

According to information on Telect’s website, Amphenol Network Solutions will stay a division of Amphenol Corp.
