Moscow, Idaho-based labor market analytics firm Emsi, one of North Idaho’s largest tech employers, plans to expand its presence there with a new 70,000-square-foot headquarters.
The new building, which will be located on a 3.7-acre campus at the north end of downtown Moscow, is planned to house over 500 employees, enabling the company to continue growing, Emsi says in a press release.
“One of the first goals for Emsi was to employ 50 people earning over $50,000 because good jobs in our town drive prosperity for everyone,” Emsi CEO Andrew Crapuchettes says in the release.
When Emsi moved to its current downtown headquarters, in 2014, it had 92 employees.
Now, the company employs over 200 people, 160 of whom work in the city of Moscow.
Emsi hopes to break ground on the new four-story building in October, with an estimated move-in date of late 2020. Boise-based Hummel Architects, the firm that designed the current University of Idaho administration building, will lead project design.
Founded in 2001, Emsi is a labor market analytics firm that uses data to drive economic prosperity.
The company works with professionals in higher education, economic development, workforce development, talent acquisition, and site selection.
