An investment company owned by Spokane oncologist Dr. Arvin Chaudhry has bought 1.2 acres of land in Spokane Valley and plans to develop a two-story medical building there that will house an oncology clinic, says Mark McLees, a real estate agent involved in the transaction.
The company, A.C. Investments LLC, plans to begin construction of the 20,000-square-foot, two-floor structure at 13424 E. Mission in the spring or summer of 2011, McLees says. The project is expected to be completed in the summer or fall of 2012, he says.
Chaudhry, a principal in Spokane-based Medical Oncology Associates PS, couldn't be reached for comment.
McCloskey Construction Inc., of Colbert, will be the contractor on the project, which will be built on vacant land at the southwest corner of Mission Avenue and Blake Road, McLees says.
Carolbelle Branch, spokeswoman for the city of Spokane Valley, says building department records there show that Denny Christenson & Associates Inc., a Spokane architectural firm, has submitted preliminary information about the proposed structure, which tentatively is named the Chaudhry Medical Building. The city hasn't received a building-permit application for the project and hasn't estimated a value for it yet, Branch says.
A.C. Investments developed Medical Oncology Associates' main clinic at 6001 N. Mayfair, in Spokane, in 2007.
The medical practice also shares 5,200 square feet of leased space on the first floor of the Sacred Heart Doctors Building, at 105 W. Eighth, with Spokane Breast Center, and has satellite offices in Colfax and Colville.
McLees, of NAI Black, and Gary Kuster, of Windermere Real Estate/Valley, handled the transaction involving A.C. Investment's Spokane Valley site.
