The Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Connections Breakfast on Friday, Dec. 17, at the Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center, 1100 N. Sullivan, in Spokane Valley. The program, Season of Sharing, will showcase nonprofit organizations. The cost is $25 for members and $50 for others. The Spokane Home Builders Association will host a Builder Assessment Review and a Professional Remodelers Experience Profile, offered through the Building Industry Association of Washington, of Olympia. Both will be held on Dec. 17 at the SHBA headquarters, at 5813 E. Fourth, in Spokane Valley, from 1 to 5 p.m. The cost for each class is $195. BizStreet, the small-business program of Greater Spokane Incorporated, will hold a free home-based business connection workshop on Social Media on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Cheryl-Anne Millsap, a freelance columnist for The Spokesman-Review, will speak. BizStreet also will hold a workshop titled 2010 Federal Health Care and Your Business on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Angela Dowling, of Payne Financial Group here, will speak. The cost of the workshop is $15 for members and $30 for others. Both workshops will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Spokane Regional Business Center, 801 W. Riverside, downtown.
