Spokane Valley-based Horizon Credit Union says it will move its Post Falls branch to the River City Center retail complex in north Post Falls in July.
Bryan Grytdal, Horizon's vice president for marketing, says the credit union has leased 1,700 square feet of space in the center at 920 N. Highway 41, which is at the northeast corner of State Route 41 and Mullan Avenue. Its Post Falls branch currently is located in smaller, leased quarters at 565 Vest, south of Interstate 90 and just west of the Hot Rod Caf.
Grytdal says the larger quarters in the River City Center location include a drive-through lane. The credit union also has the potential for future expansion there.
Other tenants at the River City Center include Pita Pit, Anytime Fitness, and Paddy's Too sports bar.
"We're following the growth of the population in Post Falls, which happens to be north of the freeway," Grytdal says. "The new location will be more convenient for members and potential members."
Vandervert Construction Inc., of Spokane, is performing tenant improvements at the site, and Miller Stauffer Architects PA, of Coeur d'Alene, designed them.
Horizon Credit Union, which has more than 38,000 members, reported total assets of $425.4 million as of March 31, up from $409.3 million a year earlier. The credit union operates 16 branches, including four in North Idaho.
Following the move to the River City Center site, Horizon's Post Falls branch will have the same four employees who work at its current location, Grytdal says.
