Hayden Valley Assisted Living Inc., which owns and operates an assisted-living facility in Hayden, Idaho, is developing the first phase of the Bristol Heights Assisted Living complex in north Coeur d'Alene.
Tom Tanner, who owns Hayden Valley Assisted Living with his wife, Tamara, says the new project is envisioned as a 64-bed assisted-living community. The company has started the first phase of construction and is erecting two of the four residence buildings, each with 7,000 square feet of floor space and 16 private rooms, on 3 acres of land at 2220 W. Prairie. Each resident room will have 200 to 225 square feet of floor space.
One of the two buildings under construction is expected to be completed in about a month, Tanner says. The second building is expected to be finished in late October. The construction value listed on city of Coeur d'Alene building permits for the two buildings is about $1 million.
Williamson-Johnson Co., of Coeur d'Alene, is the contractor for the project, and RnD Architect, of Coeur d'Alene, designed it.
Tanner says the second phase of development will include construction of the other two residence buildings and is expected to get under way in one to three years. The Bristol Heights project also is designed in the future phase to have a separate 3,000-square-foot clubhouse for entertainment.
Tanner says the Bristol Heights complex will be located next to Hospice of North Idaho's newly constructed Hospice House facility that's expected to open in August.
Hayden Valley Assisted Living, in Hayden, is a 16-room facility the Tanners own.
