The downtown Spokane branch of D.A. Davidson & Co. has moved to the eighth floor from the 10th floor of the Bank of America Financial Center in downtown Spokane.
The company has signed a seven-year lease for the approximately 13,000-square-foot space, which takes up about three-fourths of the eighth floor, says D.A. Davidson Senior Vice President and Branch Manager Bob Cummings.
The full-service investment firm employs 31 people in its downtown office and had occupied the 16,000-square-foot 10th floor for almost eight years.
D.A. Davidson moved to the eighth floor because Clearwater Paper Corp., on the 11th floor of the building wanted to expand into the 10th floor, Cummings says. Clearwater Paper now occupies all of both floors.
Dardan Enterprises Inc., of Post Falls, was in charge of renovating D.A. Davidson's new space, says property manager Ron White, of Unico Properties LLC.
D.A. Davidson considered changing building locations completely but decided to stay at the Bank of America Financial Center because of what Cummings described as a favorable lease agreement. It also is a good location for clients, Cummings says.
D.A. Davidson is based in Great Falls, Mont., and has 15 locations in Washington and more than 1,000 employees in 16 states. The downtown Spokane branch is one of four it operates in Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
