Meridian Construction Inc., of Spokane, plans to develop a 4,000-square-foot medical office building in Spokane Valley and lease it out to a yet-to-be-determined tenant or tenants, says company President Mark D'Agostino.
D'Agostino says the company has budgeted about $1 million for the project, which is to be located at 12104 E. Main. The project site is on the south side of Main Avenue, about two blocks west of Pines Road, next to the Spokane Valley branch of the Spokane County Library.
Meridian recently bought the property with plans to develop a medical office project there, D'Agostino says.
The city of Spokane Valley currently is reviewing plans for the project, and Meridian expects to obtain a building permit for it by year-end, he says. Meridian aims to complete construction of the project next spring, he says.
The project is envisioned to house a single-story medical clinic, he says.
He doesn't have any tenants committed to taking space in the building yet. A few prospective tenants are eyeing the project, and Meridian will consider options of configuring the structure as a multitenant building, D'Agostino says.
Meridian recently demolished two structures on the site, one of them a 51-year-old, 2,600-square-foot former medical office building that was in disrepair and the other a small house, D'Agostino says.
