The CFA Society of Spokane, a group of financial analysts, portfolio managers, and other investment professionals, is bringing to the Inland Northwest two nationally known speakers for its 18th Annual Economic Forecast Dinner.
To be held March 27 at the Davenport Hotel, the dinner is expected to draw more than 150 financial professionals, representatives from publicly traded companies, and individual investors.
The event will feature David J. Goerz, senior vice president and chief investment officer of San Francisco-based HighMark Capital Management Inc., and John Brynjolfsson, chief investment officer of Armored Wolf LLC investment firm, of Aliso Viejo, Calif. Both men appear regularly as analysts on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and other national programs.
CFA Spokane President Colin Kelly says, "Both gentlemen are highly sought after, quoted, and respected by the financial press."
Goerz, as HighMark's CIO, heads up investment activities for $17 billion in assets. He has more than 21 years of investment management experience and is the portfolio manager or co-manager of five HighMark mutual funds.
Brynjolfsson oversees all investment activity at Armored Wolf and is an expert in managing alternative real assets. Prior to Armored Wolf, he worked at Pacific Investment Management Co. for 19 years, where he launched PIMCO's Real Return platform and grew it to $80 billion in third-party assets, including launching and managing PIMCO's second-, third-, and fourth-largest funds.
