Magnuson Hotels, the Spokane-based independent hotel group, has expanded into Indonesia by adding the Grand Royal Panghegar Hotel, located in Bandung, the capital of the West Java province.
The 450-room Grand Royal Panghegar Hotel is within walking distance of a major business shopping district, as well as being located near museums, golf resorts, and the Parahyangan Mountains. The city of Bandung is located 87 miles southeast of Jakarta.
"Our entire global organization is committed to increasing this hotel's worldwide visibility rapidly," Magnuson Hotels CEO Tom Magnuson said in a recent press release.
Bandung was nicknamed "the Paris of Java" by Dutch settlers in colonial times. Magnuson says the Grand Panghegar Hotel offers a pool, wellness spa, shopping arcade, meeting facilities, and several dining and entertainment choices.
Magnuson Hotels, which Magnuson and his wife Melissa started nine years ago, has grown through its reservation management services, which now include affiliations with nearly 2,000 independent hotel properties and resorts across North America and in Europe. Magnuson Hotels also supports client hotels with marketing and branding services.
