My Custom IT, a young software development and information technology venture based here, has undergone an ownership consolidation and has moved into a larger office space to accommodate its growing staff.
Cameron Barclift, sales and marketing director of My Custom IT, says the company also is gearing up for the launch later this summer of a newly developed version of software it owns that's been in the works for the past two years.
Bob Bailey, of Spokane, the company's new president, and a new partner in the company who wishes to remain anonymous bought out four of the business's former owners about two months ago, Barclift says.
My Custom IT was founded here in 2005 and was doing business as Intertech Pro before the ownership changes, Barclift says. He says that the firm has grown over the last three years from two employees to 13, with a goal of bringing its total employee head count to 20 people by the end of this year. During that same time period, he says the company's customer base also more than tripled.
"We are hiring more and more to meet customer demand and ensure we have enough programmers to run the new online system," Barclift says.
He says that My Custom IT moved about a month ago from offices inside the Mt. Spokane Church, at 6311 E. Mt. Spokane Park Drive, to a 3,000-square-foot leased space at 1421 N. Mullan, in Spokane Valley.
Jon Jeffreys, of NAI Black, handled the lease transaction for My Custom IT.
Barclift says the move into the new offices allows for future growth of the company and enables it to store numerous computer server racks more securely.
Barclift says that the company's upcoming software launch is for an online-based, customizable event-management system, to be marketed under the product name My Custom Event.
He says the My Custom Event software can be used for any size event to manage and track participants of an event, collect related fees, fundraise, and create event reports, among several other features.
My Custom IT charges a per-participant, per-event fee for use of its software, he says, adding that it can accommodate "any event from two people to 2 million."
Barclift says the new software, to be launched in July, is a significantly improved version of event software that My Custom IT currently offers to its customers.
He says some Inland Northwest customers who use its event-management services include the Camp Fire USA Inland Northwest Council, the City of Post Falls' parks and recreation department, and Camp Spalding Christian summer camp, in Newport, Wash.
