GTG Ventures LLC, a Spokane company that operates Dutch Bros. Coffee stands, has opened a new coffee outlet on Spokane's North Side, its fifth here.
The business's new drive-through coffee stand is located at 8701 N. Division, at the northwest corner of Division and Magnesium. Kevin Parker, a Washington state representative who owns GTG Ventures with his wife, Kerry, says he also teaches business and economic classes at Whitworth University, which is relatively close to the new outlet.
"I'm a huge Pirates fan and alum," Parker says. "I love having one so close to Whitworth."
He also adds that Dutch Bros. customers have requested an outlet in that area.
Kofmehl Inc., of Spokane, built the structure. The new coffee stand employs eight people, Parker says. GTG Ventures also is looking in Spokane Valley for what would be a sixth Dutch Bros. outlet here.
He says the company currently employs a total of 50 employees, including the eight newly hired ones. The company's other Dutch Bros. outlets are located at 402 W. Second, in downtown Spokane; at 1306 N. Division, north of downtown; at 1010 W. Francis, on Spokane's North Side; and at 402 S. Freya, in East Spokane.
