Red Lion Hotels Corp., of Spokane, announced Feb. 4 that the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, also known as The LVH, is the first to join its new Leo Hotel Collection.
The LVH is expected to be integrated into the Red Lion chain by the end of the first quarter. The LVH will keep its current name.
Described as a new brand segment meant for boutique and historic hotels, the Leo Hotel Collection is expected to complement Red Lion's full-service Red Lions Hotels and its limited-service Red Lion Inns & Suites.
The LVH, formerly the Las Vegas Hilton, is located one block east of the Las Vegas strip and has nearly 3,000 guest rooms, as well as 220,000 square feet of meeting space and a 95,000-square-foot casino. Other amenities include 14 restaurants, a 1,650-seat showroom, and a 350-seat cabaret.
Harry Sladich, executive vice president of sales, marketing, and distribution for Red Lion, said in a press release, "This historic property is a home run for the Leo Hotel Collection. The LVH has a rich, storied past as the former stomping grounds and home of Elvis Presley."
Not including the LVH, the Red Lion hotel network has 48 hotels located in nine states and one Canadian province. In total, those hotels have 9,015 guest rooms and about 485,000 square feet of meeting space.
