The Washington State Liquor Control Board will hold a public hearing about Initiative 502 on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Spokane Convention Center, ballroom 100A, 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. The initiative makes it legal in Washington state for a person to possess up to one ounce of marijuana bought from a licensed vendor and sets up a structure for taxing the drug.
