Larry H. Miller Lexus of Spokane plans to begin work this summer on a $3.2 million expansion and renovation at its dealership building at 1030 W. Third, in downtown Spokane.
Sara Waldman, spokeswoman for Larry H. Miller Corp. headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, says a contractor hasn’t yet been selected for the project.
Information provided to the city of Spokane planning and development services department indicated the project is expected to start on Aug. 15.
Alexandra Schuchter, of John Mahoney Architects LLC, of Tempe, Ariz., is listed as architect on the project.
The expansion will add a little more than 6,000 square feet to the ground floor of the existing building and about 1,800 square feet to the second floor, bringing the total square footage of the building to nearly 28,000 square feet, according to a pre-development application filed with the city.
Larry H. Miller owns and operates three other dealerships in the Spokane area—a Toyota dealership at 1208 W. Third, a Honda dealership at 1125 W. Second, and a Hyundai dealership at 8801 E. Sprague, in Spokane Valley. The company has been doing business in Spokane since 2009.
Larry H. Miller Corp. encompasses more than 80 businesses that span 46 states and automotive-related companies that include 53 dealerships in six Western states.
