Sean and Christina Sipe, owners of three Olympia, Wash.-area physical therapy practices, have bought the assets of Spokane Occupational & Hand Therapy Inc.
The Spokane-based practice has offices at 601 W. Fifth near downtown, at 111 E. Central on the North Side, and at 12121 E. Broadway in Spokane Valley.
John and Kathleen Hatcher, former owners of Spokane Occupational & Hand Therapy, founded the practice in 1995.
Sean Sipe says John Hatcher remains on staff as a therapist, and Kathleen Hatcher provides therapy services through area schools.
Spokane Occupational & Hand Therapy has a total staff of 26 employees, including 12 therapists, Sipe says.
The practice here focuses on treatment and rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremities, he says. Its services include splinting, exercises, function assessment, and occupational conditioning for physically limiting conditions, including fractures, amputations, and injuries to nerves, tendons, and joints.
The practice also offers a variety of contract services for evaluation, intervention, and consulting to agencies and employers.
Sipe says Spokane Occupational & Hand Therapy will continue operating under its current name, although back-end operations, which include accounting, billing, and administration, will be handled through Olympia-based Sipe Therapy Group Inc.
Sipe says Scott Martin, of Spokane-based commercial real estate brokerage NAI Black, negotiated the sale of the business assets, and Sipe Therapy Group took over leases for the practice's office space.
