Refrigeration Supplies Distributor Inc. has bought a 31,100-square-foot warehouse building at 730 E. First, where it plans to move its Spokane operations from smaller quarters following renovations at the new location, says Jamie Hayward, the Spokane branch manager here.
RSD, a Lake Forest, Calif.-based refrigeration parts and equipment wholesaler, currently occupies 7,900 square feet of space at 212 E. Pacific.
The larger quarters will enable RSD to expand its inventory, Hayward says.
RSD currently employs seven people at the Spokane branch, Hayward says, adding, “We’ll probably add a few people.”
Hayward anticipates that the move might be 18 months or more away.
“We’ve purchased the building, and will be leasing it out eight or nine months,” he says. “Then we’ll start construction and renovation.”
The building currently is occupied by the Spokane branch of Airefco Inc., a Tualatin, Ore.-based distributor of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment and supplies.
Marc Mowrer, of Spokane-based commercial brokerage, Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the real estate transaction.
All Wall Contracting Inc., of Post Falls, has filed a predevelopment application with the city of Spokane that says the First Avenue building would be reduced in size to 26,600 square feet of floor space.
RSD has 75 locations in 10 Western states.
