The Spokane Home Builders Association will hold its 11th annual Fall Festival of Homes during the next two three-day weekends.
This year’s festival will feature 31 homes constructed by 19 builders, says Nicole Kerns, a spokeswoman for the association.
Hours for the free event will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 25-27 and Oct. 2-4.
Home values in the show range from under $200,000 to over $1 million, Kerns says.
The Fall Festival of Homes will have three host sites where show information will be available. The host sites include Eagle Ridge, in South Spokane; in Elk Ridge Heights, in Spokane Valley; and in Ponderosa Ridge, in northwest Spokane.
All homes entered in the festival are new and have been built since last year’s show. Most are for sale, although a few were sold prior to the show, or are personal homes of builders, Kerns says.
The festival will showcase homes constructed with the latest building techniques and designs in collaboration with homebuilders, material suppliers, specialty trade contractors, lenders, and real estate professionals, Kerns says.
“These new homes also are significantly more resource efficient and environmentally friendly and are designed to accommodate today’s busy lifestyles with open floor plans, flexible spaces, improved safety features, and low-maintenance materials,” she says.
Attendees will be encouraged to fill out people’s choice ballots, which will be available at each home. The ballots will feature a new five-star rating system that will give builders more feedback than ballots in previous shows, Kerns says.
