Two projects with a combined value of $34 million are under development on 5 acres of land in the Iron Bridge Office Campus. The projects will add an office and training facility and residential apartments to the 23-acre campus.
Construction of the exterior shell of a new health training facility for Community Health Association of Spokane is expected to be completed this spring, says Kelley Charvet, chief administrative officer at CHAS Health.
Construction is valued at about $9 million, but Charvet says that the cost could increase as designs for the second and third floors become final.
Divcon Inc., of Spokane Valley, is the general contractor for the 91,700-square-foot building. Spokane-based ALSC Architects is the project architect.
“Right now, they are completing the exterior shell of the new learning institute,” she says. ‘That’s on track to be complete by late April.”
The three-story building is located at 731 N. Iron Bridge Way and is scheduled to open in phases, with the first floor expected to be completed next year. Two additional floors are scheduled to be finished in early 2025.
The first floor of the building will house medical simulation areas, including five medical exam rooms with a lab, phlebotomy, and sterilization spaces.
The entire first floor is about 26,000 square feet, she says, adding that there also will be space for dental simulation areas for CHAS Health’s dental apprentice program.
The second and third floors will have additional meeting rooms, break rooms, and collaboration space for about 200 employees.
Next to the CHAS Health Learning Institute, plans for a $25 million, four-story, 162-unit apartment complex are under review, according to permit information on file with the city of Spokane.
As previously reported in the Journal, two Seattle-based companies, Spectrum Development and Pinnacle Partners LLC, have partnered to develop and fund the 25,000-square-foot building planned at 811 N. Iron Bridge Way.
Permit information shows Walker Construction Inc., of Spokane, has been selected as the general contractor. Seattle-based Mithun Inc. is designing the project in collaboration with Spokane-based ZBA Architecture PS.
