Bellevue-based development company Tapa Spokane LLC has started site work on a planned eight-lot, 10-acre business park in Spokane Valley, and has obtained building permits to construct two single-use buildings valued at $2 million combined.
The development site for Tapa Business Park is zoned for commercial light-industrial land use and is located at 16017 E. Trent, which is on the north side of Trent Avenue, just east of the Trent-Sullivan Road interchange.
Thomas Andersen, a principal at Tapa Spokane, couldn’t be reached immediately for comment regarding the development.
The phone message at the listed contact number for Tapa Spokane, however, says the park has six three-quarter-acre lots for sale with common frontage on Trent.
Buyers would be restricted to developing commercial buildings similar in scope to those already under development, the message says.
One issued building permit is for a 6,000-square-foot building, and the other is for a 7,000-square-foot building. The applications don’t indicate prospective occupants for those structures.
Specialty Structures General Contractors, of Otis Orchards, is the contractor on both buildings.
Washington state Department of Revenue records show that Andersen acquired the property last year for $750,000.
