Oklahoma-based Spokane Property Partners LLC plans to construct a $1.3 million auction house and office facility in Spokane Valley, which it will then lease to Insurance Auto Auctions Inc.
Plans submitted to the city of Spokane Valley show the 9,000-square-foot building will be erected on a 24-acre site at 3520 N. Tschirley Road, just east of the Spokane Business & Industrial Park. Mercier Architecture & Planning, of Spokane, is listed as the building’s designer.
Scot Fulkerson, owner of Spokane Property Partners, confirmed his company owns the property and also will be the contractor on the project. He says the company plans to lease the building to Insurance Auto Auctions upon completion, but he declines to disclose further details.
Based in Illinois, Insurance Auto Auctions is a live and live-online salvage vehicle auction company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indiana-based KAR Auction Services Inc.
Insurance Auto Auctions says on its website that it sells light damaged, repairable, high-grade vehicles. The company’s website lists 150 corporate-owned auction facilities throughout North America, also offering towing, financing, and car-title services.
Insurance Auto Auctions has one other facility in the Spokane area, located at 8018 W. Sunset Highway, just east of Airway Heights. Representatives from Insurance Auto Auctions declined to comment on the project.
