Silver Stream Diversified LLC, an affiliate of longtime Coeur d’Alene outdoor tour operator ROW Adventures, has bought a 5,900-square-foot building in downtown Coeur d’Alene, where ROW plans to move from smaller, leased quarters, says ROW co-founder Peter Grubb.
ROW will occupy 3,000 square feet in the building at 414 E. Coeur d’Alene, which is several hundred square feet larger than its current location at 220 E. Sherman.
The building has two other tenant spaces, one of which is occupied by a photography studio. The other is vacant, Grubb says.
ROW has a permanent office staff of 16 employees and a seasonal staff of 65 employees based in the U.S. and Canada.
The 37-year-old company, which has been based in Coeur d’Alene since 1986, started out as a whitewater rafting company, Grubb says, adding that whitewater trips currently account for only 25 percent of the company’s revenue.
The company offers adventure tours on five continents, including whitewater rafting trips in Idaho’s Hells Canyon and vacations trips to the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador.
ROW also owns River Dance Lodge, a log cabin resort about 90 miles east of Lewiston, which is a base for a number of outdoor activities, including rafting, fly fishing, mountain biking, and hiking, Grubb says.
Commercial brokers Wayne Burton, Craig Hunter, and Rob Kannapien, all of Coeur d’Alene-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty, and Mark Whitt, of Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty, negotiated the real estate transaction.
