The Spokane Home Builders Association has installed its 2017 officers and board of directors.
The association’s new president is Jim Breidenbach, of Craftsmen Construction Inc., who has replaced past president Nick Scheel, of Arrow Contracting Service Inc.
Keith Wilder, of Kettle Falls-based Keith Wilder Construction LLC, is the 2017 Tri County Chapter president, representing members and the homebuilding industry in Stevens, Ferry, and Pend Oreille counties.
Nick Barnes, of On Top Realty & Construction Services, is the SHBA first vice president, and Melissa Helvey, of Crafted Kitchen Design, is second vice president.
Geoff Lee, of Inland Northwest Bank, is the treasurer, and Jeff Miller, of Ferguson Enterprises, is the secretary.
New builder-directors are Jason Lawrence, of Lawrence Custom Homes Inc., and Brian Offield, of Gordon Finch Homes Inc.
Associate directors are Tim Borg, of Builders FirstSource/ProBuild, and Chris Hardy, of Champion Concrete Pumping Inc.
Bob Wright, of Wright Brothers Sunrooms LLC, is the Remodelers Council builder-director. Pete Rayner, of Beacon Hill Properties LLC, is the government affairs committee director. Jayson Hunnel, of Avista Corp., is the education committee director. Deacon Band, of Band Construction Inc., is the membership committee director. Joelle Chester, of Windermere City Group LLC, is the communications committee director.
The new officers and board members were installed during the SHBA’s 70th anniversary celebration last month. During the event, the SHBA also announced its annual awards for members deemed to have made significant contributions to the building industry, the community, and the association.
Corey Condron, of Condron Homes LLC, was named 2016 builder of the year.
Condron also was recognized as the top builder recruiter, and Garth Trimble, of KAYU-TV Fox 28, was the top associate recruiter.
Arrow Contracting’s Scheel garnered the remodeler of the year award.
Hardy was associate of the year, and Helvey was volunteer of the year.
Duncan Bean, of Duncan Bean Architect, and Wright were honored with presidential awards for service to SHBA.
The SHBA, a trade group founded in 1947 to advocate for the home construction industry, has more than 700 member businesses across seven Eastern Washington counties. Its members include contractors, developers, real estate brokers, architects, excavators, plumbers, electricians, and professionals who work for financial institutions.
