Component Tinning Services Inc., a recent independent spinoff of Spokane Valley-based ACE Production Technologies Inc., has moved to new quarters in the Spokane Business & Industrial Park.
CTS now occupies 1,300 square feet of space at 3020 N. Sullivan, says Roger Cox, company president.
The new space is twice as large as the quarters CTS had occupied within the ACE facility elsewhere in the industrial park, Cox says.
CTS, which has four employees, provides precision soldering services for electronic component manufacturers, he says.
ACE, which has more than 40 employees, designs and manufactures selective soldering systems for use by other electronics manufacturers.
“ACE builds the soldering machines, and CTS provides the soldering service,” Cox says.
Westlake, Ohio-based Nordson Corp. acquired ACE earlier this year. Nordson designs and manufactures precision dispensing, curing, and testing equipment for manufacturer applications of adhesives, coatings, and sealants.
Cox says CTS has separated from Nordson because the manufacturing conglomerate is focused on expanding its equipment-making capabilities rather than providing a niche service such as that offered at CTS.
Chase Breckner, of Spokane Valley-based Crown West Realty LLC, which owns Spokane Business & Industrial Park, negotiated the CTS lease.
