Washington State Parks is planning a $440,000 project that involves construction of several new rental cabins within Riverside State Park.
Predevelopment plans on file with the city of Spokane call for the development of four 400-square-foot cabins at 4727 N. Aubrey L. White Parkway, a site just southwest of the park’s Bowl and Pitcher rock formation.
The project, which has yet to go out for bids, is being designed by Patano Studio Architecture LLC, of Seattle, and Quantum Consulting Engineers LLC, also of Seattle, is the project engineer.
A contractor hasn’t yet been chosen for the project, but Richard Brown, Olympia-based capital projects manager for Washington State Parks, says the state likely will seek contractor bids later this spring, with construction expected to begin this fall.
He says construction is expected to take between four and six months to complete.
