The Cascade Team Real Estate Inc., which opened its first Spokane office in August of 2016, says it plans to open additional Inland Northwest offices by the end of next year.
Designated broker James Faucett says he and his business partner, Dave Reynolds, are part of a management group that operates the Issaquah Wash.-based company’s Spokane branch.
Faucett says since its opening last August, The Cascade Team’s office here has listed more than 150 properties.
“So far, we’re doing well in current markets, and plan to open two more offices by the end of next year, one in the Tri-Cities and one in Coeur d’Alene,” he says.
The company’s Spokane office is located on the 15th floor of the Paulsen Center, at 421 W. Riverside. Faucett says the 1,800-square-foot office space is occupied by nine agents and three support staff members.
He says The Cascade Team focuses on residential real estate and doesn’t provide any commercial listings or property management services.
“Most of our advertising is focused on our ability to list homes, with the understanding that those sellers will likely be interested in using our services to buy their next home,” he says.
He says the company provides full service listings for a 1 percent listing fee, rather than the traditional 3 percent most real estate brokerage firms charge.
“On most transactions, many larger firms will ask for 6 percent, that’s three for each agent,” says Faucett. “In our model, we give 3 percent to the other agent, and 1 percent goes to us for a total of 4 percent.”
He says the company also works to provide sellers with as much additional marketing as possible, using drones and professional photography, as well as 3-D video so prospective buyers can tour homes online.
Founded in 2006 by Cary Porter, The Cascade Team Real Estate now has about 50 offices in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Arizona.
“I moved here from the West Side in 2014, so I was familiar with the Cascade Team and approached them about opening an office here rather than starting a new company,” says Faucett.
