Spokane Valley-based Advanced Dermatology Skin & Surgery Center plans to move its north Spokane practice into 5,900 square feet of space in the Mayfair Professional Building, at 5905 N. Mayfair, says Wendy Stoehr, clinic administrator.
The north office currently occupies about 1,600 square feet at 59 E. Queen, she says.
Following the currently underway $652,000 tenant-improvement project, Advanced Dermatology expects to move into the second floor of the two-story building next March or April, she says.
McCloskey Construction Inc., of Spokane, is the general contractor on the space remodel, and Bernardo|Wills Architects PC, also of Spokane, is the architect.
The clinic is making the move because it has expanded its personnel and also wants to accommodate North Side patients better, Stoehr says.
The office will include six exam rooms, three procedure rooms, a patient waiting room, other support spaces, and a small retail space for displaying skincare products, she says. The clinic’s staff includes nine dermatologists, three physician assistants, and an advanced registered nurse practitioner. Most of the practice’s dermatologists rotate between the three offices—the north office, the Spokane Valley office, at 1807 N. Hutchinson Road, and the Coeur d’Alene office, at 1700 W. Riverstone.
The tenant-improvement project doesn’t involve adding any new square footage to the structure, says Jeff Johnson, president of Black Commercial Inc., an affiliate of Spokane-based NAI Black.
Johnson is also a partner in Mayfair Professional Building LLC, which owns the building. Jeff McCloskey, owner of McCloskey Construction, also is a partner.
Spokane Occu-pational & Hand Therapy Inc. and Inspire Physical Therapy Spokane PS occupy the first floor, says Johnson.
The entire building includes 12,300 square feet of space, he says.
Jon Jeffreys, a broker with NAI Black, negotiated the Advanced Dermatology lease.
Established in 1991 by Dr. Joel Sears, Advanced Dermatology Skin & Surgery Center offers treatments for dermatology and cosmetic conditions, including acne, dermatitis, eczema, rosacea, scars, skin cancer, spider veins, and wrinkles, Stoehr says.
