Great Falls, Mont.-based civil engineering firm TD&H Engineering, which has an office here, added two offices in Idaho, one in Meridian and another in Twin Falls, effective Oct. 1, says Steve Marsh, vice president and regional manager for the Spokane area.
Riedesel Engineering Inc. previously operated the two new TD&H offices. A total of eight former Riedesel employees will be based in the Meridian and Twin Falls offices.
TD&H didn’t acquire Riedesel, and no money changed hands, Marsh says.
Instead, all of the staff, including Riedesel’s owners, chose to join TD&H’s team, he says.
“We’ve been eyeing that area for a while but couldn’t find a really good fit for us. The opportunity arose where they wanted a team, and we’ve had some relationships with them in the past. It just worked,” he says.
With the expansion, TD&H now has its first airport engineer on staff, enabling the firm to expand into that specialty, Marsh says. Transportation engineering, municipal engineering for small towns, and land development services will also be offered out of those two offices.
Although those services are provided out of those offices, other specialties TD&H Engineering offers at other offices are also available for the new Idaho locations to access, he says.
TD&H, a trade name for Thomas Dean & Hoskins Inc., also has an office in Spokane. The company occupies about 6,000 square feet at 303 E. Second and has 15 employees here.
TD&H has been in Spokane since 1987 and provides civil engineering, land development, structural engineering, surveying, and other specialties out of the office here. TD&H also has offices in Lewiston, Idaho; Bozeman, Mont.; Shelby, Mont.; Helena, Mont.; Kalispell, Mont.; Watford City, N.D.; and Media, Pa.
