High Tide LLC, a new lobster bar, is expected to bring an East Coast vibe to Spokane by the end of February, says Chad White, chef and owner of the restaurant planned for the second floor of the Numerica Building, at 502 W. Riverside.
White, who also owns the ceviche restaurant Zona Blanca downtown, considers seafood his specialty. White says he came up with the idea when considering what was lacking in Spokane.
The lobster for the three featured lobster rolls will be imported from Maine, he says.
For those who aren’t enticed by seafood, there will be a Turf roll filled with beef short rib and horseradish mayo, White says. Vegetarian dishes will include the spicy mushroom roll consisting of portabella mushrooms.
With a New England motif, the 300-square-foot-space will have a counter-service primarily for take-out orders, as White says seating space will be limited to a few tables. White says Chris Batten, with Rencorp Realty LLC, handled the lease for the space, which previously housed a Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasting Co. shop.
