Spokane Teachers Credit Union has expanded its senior leadership from seven to 13 positions, including four employees who have been promoted to newly-created vice president roles.
Ezra Eckhardt, president and CEO of the Liberty Lake-based credit union, asserts that expanding the leadership team will help the credit union remain current with member expectations for service and product development, including digital platforms.
Patricia Baughman has been named chief development officer. Baughman has been with STCU since 2018, when she was hired as vice president of organizational strategy and product development.
Tammy Fleiger is now senior vice president of operations. Fleiger joined the credit union in 1990 and was promoted to vice president of operations in 2011.
Laura Wood has been named senior vice president of human resources. STCU hired Wood in 1998, and she was promoted to vice president of human resources in 2016.
Patricia Kelly is now senior vice president of information technology. Kelly joined STCU in 2000 and was promoted to vice president of information technology in 2016.
Robyn Galtieri was promoted to vice president of retail services. Galtieri has been with the credit union since 1998 and became director of STCU’s contact center and operations in 2016.
Brian Scott is now vice president of accounting and finance; Scott joined STCU in 2003. He was promoted in 2015 to director of accounting and finance.
Rich Lentz was promoted to vice president of consumer lending. Lentz has been with the credit union since 2005 and was promoted to director of consumer lending in 2015.
Scott Rabe has been named vice president of digital development. Rabe joined STCU in 1993. In 2012, he was promoted to director of project management and software development.
The rest of STCU’s senior leadership team consists of Eckhardt, chief lending officer David Flood, and chief financial officer Lindsey Myhre, whose titles aren’t changing.
Eckhardt says STCU is conducting a nationwide search to fill the two remaining leadership positions, chief marketing officer and chief retail experience officer.
STCU was founded in Spokane in 1934. The credit union now has 23 branches throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho and employs almost 700 people.
STCU spokesman Dan Hansen says the credit union has $3 billion in assets. In the Journal’s recently published list of Spokane-area credit unions, STCU reported it had 121,400 Spokane County members as of year-end 2018. Organizationwide, STCU expects to crest 200,000 members next year, he says.
