Blue Cross of Idaho has opened an office in Coeur d’Alene that the health insurance provider says eventually will employ 40 people, representing a variety of departments.
The new office is located at 1812 N. Lakewood Drive and is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“Our new facility represents our commitment to Idaho and provides local customer service to our members living in North Idaho,” says Paul Zurlo in press release. Zurlo is Blue Cross of Idaho’s executive vice president for sales, marketing, communication, and information technology.
Zurlo says the new office provides space for brokers and consultant partners to meet with their clients. Blue Cross will staff the office with account managers, sales support team members, and customer service and care coordination representatives.
Hayden-based D’Zign Group Architecture LLP designed the modern, open-air building, and Spokane-based Meridian Construction Inc. served as the general contractor.
Jim Hickey, executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Blue Cross of Idaho, says, “We plan to add more member services throughout this year and into 2020, nearly doubling our employee base in Coeur d’Alene.”
Blue Cross of Idaho Health Service is a nonprofit mutual insurance organization based in Meridian, Idaho, with more than 570,000 members. The organization was founded in 1945.
