Numerica Credit Union has hired Sam Bishop as private banking relationship officer. Bishop previously worked for Idaho Central Credit Union as a commercial loan officer.
Spokane International Airport has promoted Weber Bartz to airport duty manager. Bartz was previously an operations specialist.
Community Colleges of Spokane has hired Melanie Rose as chief of institutional advancement and external affairs. Rose previously worked as the regional business manager for Avista Utilities.
Spokane-based law firm Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers has promoted two employees and hired one. Dalton Reynolds and Courtney Whitten have been named principals. Reynolds joined the firm in 2020. Whitten joined the firm in 2022 and previously worked as both a prosecutor and public defender. Zachary M. Walls has joined as an associate. Walls is a recent graduate of Gonzaga School of Law.
The Washington state Recreation and Conservation Office has hired Dawn Pullin as its first tribal affairs director. Pullin is a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and previously worked at Washington State Patrol as a tribal liason.
Awards & Designations
Spokane International Airport CEO Larry Krauter has been recognized as the 2024 recipient of the Walt Strong Advocacy Award. The award honors airport executives who demonstrate support and promotion of the FAA contract tower program. Krauter also has been elected to the Airport Council International-North America Board of Directors.
Latinos En Spokane’s executive director Jennyfer Mesa has been awarded the Public Leadership-Community Catalyst Award from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance for her leadership and dedication to public service.
Newman Lake-based Knife River was awarded the 2024 Manufacturing Excellence Award for Innovation by the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce. Honeywell was awarded the Manufacturing Excellence Award for Operational Excellence. The awards are presented to highlight the manufacturing industry’s contributions to the Spokane Valley area.
Technology company NICE Ltd. has named two Spokane Regional Emergency Communications employees as recipients for its Public Safety Answering Point’s finest award winners for achievements in emergency communications. Joe Sacco, geographic information systems manager, and Janet Hawkins, communications supervisor, were awarded for dedication to public safety emergency communication.
Coeur d’Alene-based Hecla Mining Company has appointed Jill Satre to its board of directors. Satre is the vice president of internal audit and corporate compliance at Calgary, Alberta-based TC Energy.
Philanthropy
Global Credit Union Foundation has donated $50,000 to two nonprofits. Girls Scouts of Eastern Washington and North Idaho and Operation Homefront have each received $25,000.
