Video production company Little Fish Productions LLC, of Spokane, has moved into a new home in Spokane’s South Perry District.
Located at 1026 S. Perry, across South Perry Street from Perry Street Brewing, Little Fish now occupies a 3,150-square-foot space with 14-foot-high ceilings and a private entrance on South 11th Avenue that faces Grant Park. Little Fish previously was based in a 2,200-square-foot-space in the Tapio Office Center’s White Flag building, at 104 S. Freya, in East Central Spokane.
Rob Culp, Little Fish Productions founder and owner, says Little Fish employs eight people, including two producers, two photography directors, and two junior editors. The company also hires an intern three times a year, says Culp.
Culp declines to share Little Fish’s projected annual revenue.
“We have grown substantially,” he says. “Q3 of last year was our best quarter ever, and Q4 was even better. That’s the direction we are going.”
Culp says he founded Little Fish Productions in August 2013 with a focus on creating interview-driven videos for Spokane-based companies that could benefit from the power of storytelling through video.
The company works with various industries but mostly creates content for nonprofits, architecture firms, and health care systems. Last year, Little Fish completed 184 projects, says Culp.
The company’s name is meant to signal access to quality video production for small and large companies.
“Everybody should be able to benefit from storytelling,” says Culp. “It shouldn’t just be the biggest fish in the sea that have access to video.”
Culp says he has long admired the space on South Perry Street, which had been the studio of J. Craig Sweat Photography Inc. for 26 years. Sweat, now retired, owns the building, says Culp.
