Spokane-based Boone Express LLC is planning two new projects—a neighborhood market and a laundromat—on west Broadway Avenue, in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood, according to two building permit applications.
A new Broadway Foods store is being planned at 2229 W. Broadway, the same site that was home to the original Broadway Foods, which has been demolished, according to Spokane County Assessor’s records.
Boone Express is owned by Jolly Ghebreab and is also the parent company of Bong’s Grocery & Deli and Jolly Mart, both of which are located in the West Central neighborhood.
Ghebreab declines to discuss the two new projects.
