Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, of Coeur dAlene, plans to open an office in Post Falls this summer that will focus on that fast-growing community, as well as do business across the state line in Liberty Lake and Spokane Valley.
About 25 real estate agents and support staff will work in the new office, which will be located at 1590 E. Seltice, says Jennifer Keefe, Coldwell Banker Schneidmillers office manager. Some of those people will transfer from the companys longtime Coeur dAlene headquarters, at 1924 Northwest Blvd., and some will be new hires, she says.
Coldwell Banker bought the former United Paint & Coatings Inc. building in Post Falls for an undisclosed amount and is remodeling the 6,500-square-foot structure to serve as its new office, Keefe says. The Post Falls office is expected to open July 1, she says.
The Post Falls location will be a homecoming of sorts for Gary Schneidmiller, owner of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, Keefe says. Schneidmiller operated his first real estate agency, Idaho Realty Center, there from 1979 until 1984, when he bought a Coldwell Banker franchise and moved the business to its current location in Coeur dAlene.
Keefe says Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller has always done a lot of business through that whole corridor of Post Falls and in the Liberty Lake area. The new Post Falls location will help the company serve people who want to look at properties in both Spokane and Kootenai counties, as well as help it expand its commercial business in Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake, she says.
Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty employs 125 real estate agents and handled real estate sales of nearly $400 million last year, Keefe says.
