Pring Corp., of Spokane Valley, has started work on a $2.8 million office building along Springfield Avenue, less than a block west of its intersection with Sullivan Road, in Spokane Valley.
The 30,000-square-foot structure will be two stories with a daylight basement, says Kirk Owsley, treasurer of Pring Corp.
Pring and some affiliated companies plan to occupy the buildings top floor. Space on the two lower floors is being marketed for lease.
Construction of the building started earlier this month, and the structure is scheduled to be completed in mid-December, Owsley says.
Vandervert Construction Inc., of Spokane, is general contractor on the project, and Bernardo-Wills Architects PC, of Spokane, designed it.
Pring Corp. was founded in 1960 and has developed a number of retail and office properties in the Spokane area. One of those is the year-old F&M Center retail building at 509 N. Sullivan.
The affiliated companies that also will move to the top floor of the new office building with Pring include Appleway Equipment Leasing, which leases out semi-tractors and trailers, and P&T Partners, which owns Hico Village fueling and retail centers.
Those three companies employ a total of 35 people and currently are located on the Appleway Automotive Group car-dealership campus, at 8412 E. Sprague, in Spokane Valley. The Pring family had owned the Appleway dealerships until 1997, when it sold the dealerships to Auto Nation Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
