A Spokane development group led by Lexington Homes Inc. President Dave Nerren plans to build a two-story office building along Southeast Boulevard, on Spokanes South Hill.
Design work on the structure is under way, and construction is expected to start within two months, says Joseph Jarvis, manager and part-owner of Lexington Commercial Inc., a commercial construction company thats affiliated with Lexington Homes and that will build the office structure.
Jarvis says the structure, to be called the Garden Park Office Building, is slated to be constructed on about an acre of vacant land between Southeast Boulevard and 33rd Avenue, just over a block west of where Southeast Boulevard ends at Regal Street. The structure will be accessible both from 33rd and from the northwest-bound side of Southeast Boulevard.
The planned building will be two stories tall and might also have office space in a partial basement. As currently envisioned, the building will have a total of 10,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet of office space and is expected to cost $1 million to $1.5 million to develop, Jarvis says. A late-spring completion is anticipated, he says.
The development group, which plans to form a limited-liability company through which it will own the structure, tentatively has agreed to lease almost an entire floor of the planned structure to a Spokane dental practice, Jarvis says. He declines for now to disclose the name of the dental practice.
Lindquist Architects PS, of Spokane, is designing the structure.
