Unicep Packing Inc., of Sandpoint, says its anticipating a big jump in revenue next year and plans to hire 13 employees soon to accommodate growth.
Unicep makes and fills one-dose, squeezable vials that hold products ranging from hair gel to chemicals. The company also mixes liquid and gel products under contract and fills containers such as tubes and syringes that it doesnt make. Its located in a 65,000-square-foot plant at 1702 Industrial Drive.
With medications, Unicep currently fills client orders only for over-the-counter drugs, but it says it expects to become certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to fill prescription drugs by the end of the year.
As a result of that product expansion, Unicep is projecting a 30 percent to 40 percent growth in revenue next year, the company says. Lynda Patalano, marketing manager at Unicep, declines to disclose the companys annual revenues.
Unicep plans to hire 30 workers within the next three years as a result of its anticipated growth from adding prescription drugs to its list of products, it says.
Unicep also has filled several management positions recently. It hired Marcus Anderson as general manager and Clint Marshall as vice president of business development and CFO. The two formerly worked at Liberty Lake-based Telect Inc., where Anderson was director of global operations and Marshall was director of original equipment manufacturer development and systems integration.
Unicep also recently hired Patalano, Greg Taylor as director of program management, and Mike Stratton as purchasing manager, the company says.
