Hospitality Associates, a Spokane Valley hotel management company, is moving its headquarters from a hotel it operates at the Spokane Business & Industrial Park into a 3,600-square-foot office space in a building that formerly housed Sullivan Homes Inc.
Hospitality Associates intends to convert the office space at the hotel, the La Quinta Inn & Suites Spokane Valley, into six guest rooms after it moves, which will give the hotel a total of 65 rooms, says James Mulloy, vice president and general counsel of Hospitality Associates.
Hospitality Associates, founded in 1978, manages about 30 hotel properties in the western U.S., in most of which it has principal ownership, Mulloy says. It employs nine people at its headquarters.
Mulloy recently formed Sullivan Office Ventures LLC with his wife, Holly, and bought a 22,000-square-foot building at 16114 E. Indiana, in Spokane Valley, from Sullivan Properties LLC, for an undisclosed sum. Sullivan Office Ventures will lease space to Hospitality Associates.
Other tenants are leasing space in the Sullivan office building, including a Met Life office, a Sonitrol Cascades office, and a Coldwell Banker real estate office, and some space still will be available for lease following Hospitality Associates' move there, Mulloy says.
Mulloy says he is looking into erecting a digital billboard-type sign on which tenants of the building could advertise their businesses, but otherwise the property hasn't needed any improvements.
