A unit of Aspen Homes & Development LLC, of Coeur d'Alene, is constructing a $2 million office building in Liberty Lake that will house a growing dental office and likely another medical-related tenant, says Aspen Homes owner Todd Stam.
Aspen Commercial LLC, Aspen Homes' commercial division, is doing the construction work on the project, says Stam. The building, to be located at 22106 E. Country Vista Drive and called Aspen Ridge Plaza, will have two stories and about 10,300 square feet of floor space, he says.
An unnamed investment partnership of local individuals that's unaffiliated with Aspen Homes owns the land and also will own the building, Stam says.
Work has started at the site, which is one block west of the intersection of Liberty Lake Road and Country Vista Drive and across Country Vista Drive from an Alton's Tires outlet, and construction should be completed late next fall, possibly in early November, he says.
Stam says Dr. C. Ross Simonds' Liberty Lake Dental Care, currently located at 23403 E. Mission, has agreed to lease the roughly 5,000 square foot second floor of the building. Stam says the dental practice plans to move because it needs more space.
He says Aspen Homes is working with another possible tenant, also in the medical field, that would occupy about 3,500 square feet of space on the first floor. He declines to name the tenant, explaining that negotiations are continuing. More than 1,000 square feet of space on the first floor also will be leased out, he says.
The building architect is Roxanne Gunther, of Coeur d'Alene, Stam says. Tate Engineering Inc., of Coeur d'Alene, did the site and structural design work on the project, says Rob Tate, that firm's owner.
