The Northwest Independent Film Video & Entertainment Society will hold its July meeting on Thursday, July 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Greenbriar Inn, 315 Wallace Ave., in Coeur d'Alene. Winners of the society's short film screenwriting contest will be announced, and attendees will learn how to pitch scripts. The meeting is free to members and first-time attendees. Greater Spokane Incorporated will present Savor Spokane, a quarterly business networking event that showcases cuisine from different member restaurants or caterers in the area, on Tuesday, July 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Spokane catering company and events venue Beacon Hill Events, 4848 E. Washington Trust Bank is hosting a personal document Shred Day on Friday, July 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at its Lincoln Heights branch, at 2415 E. 29th.
