Dr. Daniel Dibble, who owns SpineTeamSpokane, in Spokane Valley, says he plans to develop a $1.7 million medical building on Spokane's North Side and to open a larger clinic there that will become the flagship office for the practice.
The planned structure, at 510 E. Holland, will be a single-story, craftsman-style building with 10,000 square feet of floor space, says Chris Herath, of Pondera Architecture PC, of Spokane.
Herath says he expects work on the project to begin within two weeks, pending approval of a building permit, and construction to be completed in eight or nine months.
Silvey Construction Inc., of Spokane Valley, is listed on the building permit application as the contractor on the project, Dibble says.
The structure will house a fully equipped clinic that will replace a small temporary office currently located in the Northpointe Professional Building, at 9425 N. Nevada, which is less than a half-mile east of the project site, Dibble says.
Dibble opened the Spokane Valley office in early 2007. SpineTeamSpokane occupies 4,300 square feet of leased space there in the North Evergreen Office Building, at 117 N. Evergreen.
SpineTeamSpokane also has a satellite office in Coeur d'Alene, at 2910 Ironwood Center Drive.
The practice specializes in nonsurgical treatment of back and neck problems ranging from simple strains to complex abnormalities and injuries, its Web site says.
Dibble says the specialty practice has two physicians, two physician's assistants, a physical therapist, and a total of 23 employees.
The practice recently added five staff members in anticipation of the planned move he says, adding that he expects the practice will add even more staff, possibly including another physician, before opening the new office.
"It's going to get a lot less crowded here," he says of the Valley office, which will remain open.
