Spokane home builder Condron Construction Inc. says it's planning a 17-lot residential subdivision valued at more than $2.8 million in the Pasadena Park neighborhood north of the Spokane River near Spokane Valley.
The development, to be called Farr Meadows, will be comprised of starter homes priced in the $165,000-to-$190,000 range, says Corey Condron, vice president of Condron Construction. Floor plans will range in size from 1,000 to 1,600 square feet, he says.
The development will be on 3.7 acres of land on the west side of Farr Road, south of Wellesley Avenue, Condron says. Lots will range in size from 5,000 to 6,000 square feet and will be served by a cul-de-sac that will connect to Farr Road, he says.
The homes in Farr Meadows will have one to three bedrooms, and some homes will have unfinished space, some of which later could be finished as additional bedrooms, Condron says.
Gallery 12 Designs Inc. and Residential Design Services, both of Spokane, designed the houses, Condron says.
In recent years, Condron Construction has specialized in developing mid-market homes priced in the $200,000 to $350,000 range. That market stalled this year, while the entry-level housing market has remained the most active, largely due to the U.S. Government's $8,000 first-time home-buyers tax credit, Condron says. The credit has been extended through April 2010.
Condron says he expects the company will build and sell at least 10 homes in Farr Meadows in 2010.
