Journal names its 2025 Icons class
Honorees to be celebrated at May 7 event
April 1, 2025
The Journal of Business has selected its 2025 class of Inland Northwest Icons.
This year's honorees are:
- Susan Ashe, longtime public relations executive and former executive director of the Health Sciences & Services Authority of Spokane County.
- Bobby Brett, managing partner of the Spokane Indians baseball club and Spokane Chiefs hockey club.
- Steve Duvoisin, former CEO of Inland Imaging LLC.
- Christine Johnson, former chancellor of Community Colleges of Spokane, now known as Spokane Colleges.
- Ron Sims, former president of ALSC Architects PS.
- Kevin Twohig, former CEO of the Spokane Public Facilities District.
The Journal will recognize each of this year's honorees at lunch event on Wednesday, May 7, at the Spokane Convention Center's Centennial Ballroom.
To be eligible for Icons Awards, honorees must be 70 years old or older, must have made a substantial contribution to the broader business community while spending the majority of their career in the region, and must be retired or no longer involved in day-to-day operations. Also, because the awards aren't given posthumously, they must be living.
The Journal has hosted the Inland Northwest Icons Awards for seven years. See the past winners here.
