Dave & Buster's project underway in Spokane Valley

Construction of entertainment venue expected to finish by fall of 2025

November 21, 2024

Construction of the new Dave & Buster’s Inc. arcade and sports bar is underway in Spokane Valley.

Spokane-based Walker Construction Inc. broke ground in mid-October at 13921 E. Mansfield, north of Interstate 90 off the Evergreen Road exit, near the Spokane Valley Mall.

Construction of the 25,000-square-foot entertainment venue is expected to be completed in summer or fall of 2025, according to Hunter Chambers, a project manager at Walker Construction.

A representative of Dave & Buster’s couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

The project carries an estimated construction value of about $7.5 million, a building permit on file with the city of Spokane Valley shows. An architect wasn't listed on the permit.

Spokane County records show Dave & Buster’s of Washington LLC acquired the roughly 5-acre property in October for about $2.9 million from Centennial Properties-Mirabeau LLC—an affiliate of Cowles Co.

Coppell, Texas-based Dave & Buster’s opened its first location in Dallas in 1982 and has since grown to over 140 locations worldwide, according to the company's website.

Three of the all-ages arcade and sports bar establishments are on Washington’s West Side, and one is in Boise, Idaho.

The Spokane Valley Dave & Buster’s isn’t the only entertainment company with a global presence planning to expand into the county.

As reported by the Journal in August, Topgolf is eyeing a new facility in Liberty Lake, along Country Vista Drive, just south of Interstate 90 and east of Kramer Parkway.

As proposed, the Topgolf venue would include over 70 climatized driving-range bays that would allow guests to play high-tech golf games year-round.
