Adventure Dynamics Inc., a privately-owned aerial adventure park and challenge course in the Nine Mile Falls area, is under new management by a company called Teamwork Adventures LLC.
Jared Passey is the owner of Teamwork Adventures, which he says was formed in February and is leasing the Adventure Dynamics ropes course and business assets from original owner and founder, Will Parks.
“Will still owns the company. We’ve just agreed to take over the management side of things,” says Passey.
Passey comes from an Air Force family but has lived the majority of his life in Washington state. He says he was introduced to Adventure Dynamics in 2001, while looking for an event to help bring together several Boy Scout troops.
“Eventually, I moved to Utah and got involved with a large ropes course there, and they helped me to get training and experience,” he says.
Passey moved back to Spokane in 2008, met Parks, and began partnering with him on marketing and promotions work for Adventure Dynamics.
“Over the years, we’ve worked together a couple of times on promotions and designing his website,”
he says.
Passey says he and Parks signed a lease agreement last month, and he’s already held his first staff meeting to prepare for the rope course’s upcoming season. Teamwork Adventures will have a staff of 10, some of whom have worked with Adventure Dynamics previously, he says.
Adventure Dynamics is located at 12410 Pine Bluff Road in the Nine Mile Falls area. The rope course offers four primary activity programs—aerial adventures, team-building events, a combination of the two, and portable team-building services.
In taking over management of the Adventure Dynamics course, Passey says he has plans to focus more on teamwork events, as well as adding some new course features and promotional deals.
“Adventure Dynamics started as a place that was designed so the majority of people coming out were groups that worked together on team challenges,” he says. “Recently, it’s shifted to more of an amusement park, but my goal is to put the emphasis back on experiential education and teamwork events.”
